PlayStation- First check the power cable, the socket and any external accessories.
- No sound, light or fan at all usually points to the power supply or power input.
- If the fan spins and you hear the startup sound but the screen is dark, the display or video circuit may be at fault.
- Even with a logic board fault, your data is often safe if the drive is intact.
- When carrying an iMac, never press the screen against a surface; use the original box or thick padding.
01If your iMac will not turn on, try these first
- Check the power cable. Make sure it is fully seated in the iMac and the socket; try another socket.
- Remove accessories. Unplug external drives, USB sticks and other accessories and try again.
- Hold the power button. Hold it for a few seconds, release it, then press once to try to start.
- Check the display. If you hear the fan or the startup sound, try turning up the brightness.
02Signs of a power supply fault
- No response at all. Pressing the button gives no light, sound or fan movement.
- A short click, then silence. It seems to start and stops at once.
- A burning smell. You notice a smell after a power cut or surge.
03Signs of a logic board fault
