A conversion housing is an option both for renewing a worn body and for giving the phone a different look.

Dented or scratched body

A body with dented corners or worn paint is renewed from end to end with the new housing.

Broken back glass

On these models the back glass is part of the body; the new housing comes with its own back glass.

A flat-edged body carrying the camera bump of the newer model.

How it works

How a housing conversion works

  1. Free pre-check

    The screen, Face ID, cameras and buttons are tested before the housing is changed; any existing faults are reported to you.

  2. Approval

    The conversion you choose, the colour and the price are confirmed; the phone is not opened without your approval.

  3. Moving into the housing

    The screen, motherboard, battery, cameras and other parts are taken out of the old body and fitted into the new housing. The housing is invoiced in your name.

  4. Test and return

    Every part moved is tested in the new housing; you collect the phone in store, or it is sent by partner courier, or by motorbike courier in Istanbul.

A housing change is a thorough job in which every part is removed and refitted; data is usually preserved, but you need to back up before we start, and backups are the customer’s responsibility.

Good to know

The look changes, the model does not

A conversion housing only changes the outside. Before you decide, we would like you to know two things.

The phone stays its own model

The model name in Settings, software updates, storage and performance do not change; the phone is still an iPhone XR, 11 or whichever model it is.

Extra camera rings are for looks

The extra camera rings on the new housing do not take photos; the phone uses its own camera.

The water resistance of a phone moved into a new body is unknown; keep it away from pools, showers and similar places.

No. Only the body changes; Settings still shows your phone’s real model and its features stay the same. When selling the phone, you need to tell the buyer.

Do Face ID and the camera work after the housing change?

These parts are moved into the new housing and tested before return. If a part was already faulty before the work, we tell you at the pre-check.

Can just the back glass be replaced instead of the housing?

If the body is sound and only the back glass is broken, a back glass replacement is also an option. Which one suits you is discussed at diagnosis.

Is there a warranty on a conversion housing?

The housing is an outer part that can get scratched or dented in daily use, so conversion housings do not come with a warranty. Check the housing, buttons and camera when you collect the phone.
