Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra motherboard repair: signs and process

01Signs of a board fault

  • No screen, vibration or LED response when charging.
  • The start-up logo comes and goes and the phone keeps restarting.
  • It heats up when idle and the battery drains quickly.
  • Several functions such as the camera, network or sound stop at once.

These signs can also come from the battery or charging port, so outside causes are ruled out first.

02What you can try at home

  1. Charge with another cable. Leave it on charge for at least half an hour with a different cable and adapter.
  2. Force a restart. Hold the power button until the phone vibrates.
  3. Watch the heat. If it gets very hot while charging, unplug it and let it rest.
