01Deactivating step by step
- Profile. Go to your profile in Instagram and tap the menu at the top right.
- Accounts Centre. Open Accounts Centre › Personal details.
- Account ownership and control. Choose Deactivation or deletion.
- Deactivate. Select the account and confirm deactivation.
Menu names vary by app version.
02Deactivate or delete?
