How to save Facebook videos on iPhone

On iPhone you can keep a Facebook video inside Facebook with the app’s Save feature. Videos you posted yourself can be downloaded as files with Facebook’s download tool. Saving someone else’s video needs the owner’s permission; stay away from unknown download sites.

  1. Save. Tap the three dots on the video and choose Save video.
  2. Your own videos. Request your videos under Download your information in Accounts Center.
  3. Screen Recording. Add Screen Recording in Settings › Control Centre; use it only for permitted content.
  4. Storage. Before recording, check free space in Settings › General › iPhone Storage.

Menu names vary by app and iOS version.
