How to hide apps on iPhone

To hide an app on iPhone, press and hold its icon and choose Remove from Home Screen; the app stays in the App Library. On newer iOS versions, Require Face ID › Hide and Require Face ID moves the app to the locked Hidden folder. You can also hide a whole Home Screen page.

02Hiding with Face ID

  1. Press and hold. Press and hold the app icon.
  2. Require Face ID. Tap Require Face ID in the menu.
  3. Hide. Choose Hide and Require Face ID and confirm.
  4. Finding it. Open the Hidden folder at the bottom of the App Library with Face ID.

Menu names vary by iOS version; some system apps cannot be hidden.
