Huawei back glass cracked: first steps and replacement

When the back glass of a Huawei phone cracks, first cover it so you do not cut yourself and keep the phone away from water; moisture can get in through the crack. Check the camera glass separately, as it is a separate part on most models. After a replacement, test wireless charging on models that support it.

01First steps

  1. Cover it. Put clear tape or a case over the cracked surface so glass pieces do not cut your hand.
  2. Keep it away from water. Moisture can get in through the crack.
  3. Test the camera. If photos are blurry or stained, the camera glass may be cracked too.
  4. Charge by cable. On a model with wireless charging, charge by cable rather than wirelessly while the glass is cracked.
