iPhone 11 speaker and headphone settings

On iPhone 11, speaker and headphone settings are in Settings › Sounds & Haptics, Settings › Music › EQ and Accessibility › Audio & Visual. There you change volume, EQ, mono audio, balance and the loud sound limit. If the settings are right but sound is low or crackly, the speaker should be checked.

02If sound is low or one-sided

  1. Balance. Check the balance slider in Accessibility is centred.
  2. Reduce loud audio. Check the limit in Headphone Safety.
  3. EQ. Set EQ to Off and test; some presets lower the volume.
  4. Bluetooth. Make sure sound is not going to another device.
  5. Grille. Remove the case and clean the speaker grille with a dry brush.
