- For close-range shots, supported models switch to Macro automatically.
- Tap to focus; press and hold for AE/AF Lock.
- Grease and dust on the lens glass cause blur.
- The case should not cover the camera area.
- Clicking and shaking point to a hardware fault.
01Try these settings first
- Tap to focus. Tap where you want the image to be sharp.
- AE/AF Lock. Press and hold a spot; focus and exposure are locked.
- Macro. On supported models the camera switches to the ultra wide lens for close-range shots; Macro Control under Settings › Camera shows or lets you turn off this switch.
- Distance. On models without Macro, focus fails if you get too close; move back a little.
Menu names can differ slightly by iOS version and model.
02Lens and case
- Wipe the camera glass with a soft, dry cloth; finger grease causes blur.
- If the case’s camera opening slides in front of the lens, the edge darkens and focusing gets harder.
- If a lens protector is scratched or bubbled, remove it and try again.
