Samsung power button repair: side key settings and fault signs

On most Samsung phones the side key does the job of the power button, and what it does can be changed in settings. If holding it opens Bixby instead of the power menu, it is a setting. If the key does not respond, sticks or came loose after a drop, the key, its cable or connection should be checked.

03What should you do?

  1. Remove the case. A tight case can keep pressing the key.
  2. Check the settings. See the options in the table above.
