How to change your Gmail password on iPhone

Your Gmail password belongs to your Google account, not your iPhone. In the Gmail app, tap your profile picture and go to “Manage your Google Account” › Security › Password; the Google Account page in Safari does the same. After the change, you need to sign in again in iPhone Mail.

  1. Gmail app. Tap your profile picture at the top right.
  2. Manage your Google Account. Open the Security tab.
  3. Password. Under signing in to Google, choose Password and confirm with your current password.
  4. New password. Type a strong password and save it.
  5. Mail. If iPhone Mail asks you to sign in again, use the new password.
