How to check your Apple warranty

You check your Apple warranty with the serial number on Apple’s coverage page (checkcoverage.apple.com). On iPhone the serial number and coverage are in Settings › General › About; it is also printed on the box. The warranty covers manufacturing faults, not accidental damage such as drops or liquid.

  1. Serial number. Copy the serial number from Settings › General › About.
  2. Coverage page. Go to checkcoverage.apple.com.
  3. Check. Enter the serial number and the verification code and submit.
  4. Result. See the limited warranty and any AppleCare status.
