How to delete multiple emails on iPhone

To delete many emails on iPhone, open a mailbox in Mail, tap Edit, select messages or tap Select All, then tap Trash. Swipe down the list with two fingers to select quickly. If messages are archived instead of deleted, change the account’s advanced setting.

  1. Mailbox. Open a mailbox such as the Inbox in Mail.
  2. Edit. Tap Edit at the top right.
  3. Select. Tap messages one by one or use Select All.
  4. Quick selection. Swipe down the list with two fingers.
  5. Delete. Tap Trash at the bottom.
