iPhone network problem: no service or searching

If your iPhone shows “No Service” or “Searching”, toggle airplane mode and restart it. Go to Settings › General › About and install any carrier settings update. Refit the SIM and try another one. If it continues, reset network settings; if it still fails, the antenna or cellular chip should be checked.

01Step by step

  1. Airplane mode. Turn it on, then off after a few seconds.
  2. Carrier settings. Go to Settings › General › About; install any update that appears.
  3. SIM. Take out the tray, refit the card and try another SIM.
  4. Network settings. Settings › General › Transfer or Reset › Reset › Reset Network Settings.
  5. Update. Install the iOS update.
