Safari running slow on iPhone

If Safari is slow on your iPhone, first test your connection in another app; if only Safari is slow, close open tabs and clear history and website data in Settings › Safari. Turn off content blocker extensions and test, check Low Data Mode and Private Relay, and update iOS.

01Step by step

  1. Connection. Check whether the internet is fast in another app.
  2. Tabs. Hold the tabs button in Safari and close all tabs.
  3. History. Tap Settings › Safari › Clear History and Website Data.
  4. Extensions. Turn off content blockers in Settings › Safari › Extensions and test.
  5. Data settings. Turn off Low Data Mode and iCloud Private Relay for a test.
  6. Update. Update iOS and restart the phone.
