iPhone screen loose: can you keep using it, and how is it fixed?

You can use an iPhone with a loose screen for a while, but there are risks: dust and moisture get in through the gap, the screen cable is strained and the picture may go, and the screen can come away. 02Until the repair

  1. Back up. Back up straight away in case the picture goes.
  2. Do not press. Do not try to push the screen back into place.
  3. Watch charging. If the phone gets hot on charge or the screen lifts further, stop charging.
  4. Keep it away from water. Liquid can get in through the gap.
  5. Carry it in a case. A case that protects the edges guards the screen against knocks; make sure it does not press on the screen.
