01Flat glass and curved glass

On curved screens a front glass replacement is not always possible; when it is, it takes more labour.
02Glass types and toughness
Phones use special toughened glass on the front; some makers use branded tougher glass. These resist scratches and knocks better but are not unbreakable: a fall on a corner can still crack them. The type of glass fitted in a replacement depends on the model and part; we tell you at diagnosis.
03What else affects the cost?
- Whether the panel is intact (if not, the screen is replaced).
- The screen type (OLED or LCD).
- How close the front camera and sensor area are to the glass.
