How to run a screen test on a Samsung phone

On many Samsung phones, typing *#0*# in the Phone app opens a test menu. The red, green, blue and black tests show dead pixels, spots and lines; the touch test shows areas that do not respond. The code does not work on some models; Samsung Members diagnostics can be used instead.

02Step by step

  1. Type the code. Type *#0*# in the Phone app; the menu opens by itself.
  2. Colour tests. Look carefully at each colour for spots or lines.
  3. Touch test. Fill the boxes on the screen with your finger.
  4. Exit. Use the back button; the test does not change your settings.
