How to check battery health on an Android phone

On Android, the screen that shows battery health depends on the brand and version. On Samsung, the phone diagnostics in the Samsung Members app show battery status; some models also show battery information under Settings › Battery.   1. Fast drain. The battery lasts clearly less with the same use.
  2. Sudden shutdowns. The phone turns off with charge left.
  3. Heat. It gets unusually warm while charging or in use.
  4. Swelling. The back cover or screen is lifting.
