Phone camera taking blurry photos: how to fix it

If your phone camera takes blurry photos, clean the lens with a soft cloth, remove the case and lens protector, then tap the screen to focus. If it stays blurry, focus never locks or the picture shakes, the camera lens or module should be checked.

01Try these step by step

  1. Clean the lens. Gently wipe it with a microfibre cloth.
  2. Remove the case and protector. Their edge may cover the lens.
  3. Focus. Tap the subject on screen; try macro mode for close shots.
  4. Try each lens. Open the wide, ultra-wide and zoom lenses separately.
  5. Restart. The camera software may be stuck.
