How a phone screen is replaced

At the shop, a screen replacement starts with a diagnosis: is the screen or only the glass broken, is anything else damaged, which part do you want. With your approval the screen is warmed and removed, small parts move to the new screen, adhesive is renewed and the phone is tested before return.

01Steps of a screen replacement

  1. Diagnosis. The screen, front glass and other parts are checked; the price and part options are given.
  2. Approval. Nothing starts without your approval.
  3. Removal. The screen is softened with controlled heat and separated; on iPhone the bottom screws come out first.
  4. Connectors. The battery is disconnected and the screen connectors are released with care.
  5. Transfer. Small parts and brackets on the screen are moved to the new one.
  6. Sealing. Old adhesive is cleaned off and new adhesive or a seal is applied.
  7. Test. Picture, touch, camera, sensors, sound and charging are tested before return.
