Is there an iPhone touch test code? Testing without one

An iPhone has no touch test code; codes such as *3001#12345#* only show network information. You can test touch without a code: on the Home Screen, drag an app icon slowly over every part of the screen, or draw in Notes. If the icon drops or the line breaks, that area is not responding.

01Touch test without a code

  1. Drag an icon. Press and hold an empty spot on the Home Screen, then drag an icon slowly into every corner.
  2. Draw in Notes. In a new note, choose the drawing tool and fill the screen with horizontal and vertical lines.
  3. Keyboard. Press every key one by one, including those at the edges.
  4. Without a case. Remove the protector and case and repeat the test.

Menu names vary by iOS version.
