Phone not seeing any Wi-Fi networks: how to fix it

If your phone does not see any Wi-Fi networks, first toggle airplane mode and restart the phone. If other devices nearby see the networks, reset network settings. If no network appears even after the reset, or the Wi-Fi switch will not turn on, the Wi-Fi antenna or chip should be checked.
