Is it safe to use an original charger on another phone?

A certified original charger can generally be used safely on another phone; the charger and phone agree between themselves on how much power to deliver. If the fast charging standard differs, the phone charges at normal speed. The cable must fit and be undamaged; cheap uncertified chargers are the real risk.
