Why do phones explode? Risks and precautions

The risk of a phone catching fire or exploding comes from the lithium-ion battery; puncture, crushing, swelling, overheating and poor chargers or batteries raise it. If the case is bulging, the phone is very hot, or you notice a smell or hissing, unplug it and place it on a surface away from anything flammable.

Phone works but the screen is black: what to do

If your phone rings or vibrates but the screen is black, the phone is on; the problem is the screen or its connection. Force restart and charge it first.
