Can True Tone be brought back on an iPhone that lost it?

If True Tone disappeared after an iPhone screen replacement, getting it back usually depends on the old screen. If you still have it and its data part is intact, the data can be transferred to the new screen; if it was thrown away, the data may be lost. 01Check the situation first

  1. Settings › Display & Brightness. Is the True Tone switch missing, or just turned off?
  2. Control Centre. Touch and hold the brightness slider; is the True Tone button there?
  3. Parts and Service History. On supported models, Settings › General › About can show that the screen was replaced.

If the switch is there but off, just turn it on; if it is missing, see the conditions below.
