Increasing touch screen sensitivity on Android and iPhone

On Samsung and some Android phones, turning on “Touch sensitivity” or glove mode under Settings › Display makes the screen more sensitive; it helps most with thick screen protectors. iPhone has no sensitivity slider; the touch duration settings in Accessibility change how it responds.

  1. Check the protector. A thick or lifted protector weakens touch.
  2. Clean it. Wipe the screen with a dry cloth; your hands should not be wet.
  3. Unplug it. An unsuitable charger can affect touch.
  4. Test it. If an area never responds, it is a screen fault, not a setting.
