What is a ghost screen? Ghost touch or ghost image?

“Ghost screen” is used for two different problems. With ghost touch, the screen taps, opens apps or types without you touching it. With a ghost image, a faint trace of an earlier image stays on the screen. Which one you have decides the fix.

02If it is ghost touch

First remove the charger and protector and try; to make touches visible see ghost touch: make touches visible, and for fixes ghost touch: screen moving by itself.

03If it is a ghost image

A trace of an earlier image is seen especially on OLED screens. To tell whether it is temporary or permanent, see image retention and burn-in on a phone screen, and the types of shadow on AMOLED in AMOLED screen shading.
