iPhone keeps turning on and off: causes and fix

If your iPhone keeps turning on and off, leave it on charge for a while and force restart it. If it only shuts down off the charger, the battery may be weak; if it loops on the Apple logo, software or storage may be the cause. In recovery mode, try “Update” first.

01Step by step

  1. Charge it. Leave it on an original or compatible charger for a while.
  2. Force restart. The button order depends on the model.
  3. Remove the case. Take off a case that presses on the power button.
  4. Recovery mode. Connect to a computer and choose “Update” first.
  5. Battery Health. If it starts, check Settings › Battery › Battery Health.
