- Does a battery replacement reset the phone? No, a battery replacement does not reset the phone. Photos, contacts and apps live in the phone’s permanent storage, not in the battery; data is usually preserved during a battery replacement, but back up first. The date and time may need setting again afterwards.
- Yellow phone screen: can it be fixed? If the whole screen looks yellow, a setting is usually on: Night Shift or True Tone on iPhone, or eye comfort (blue light filter) on Android. Turning it off fixes it. If the yellow is in one area and settings do not change it, the panel or backlight is damaged and the screen needs replacing.
- Changing your phone’s housing colour: how it worksThe way to change a phone’s colour is a housing replacement: the board, battery, cameras and other parts are moved into a new housing in a different colour. For some iPhone models there are also conversion housings that change the look. Colour and housing availability depend on the model and stock; ask us on WhatsApp.
- What is FaceTime and how do you use it?FaceTime is the app for audio and video calls over the internet between Apple devices. Turn it on in Settings › FaceTime; it works over Wi-Fi or cellular data. Group FaceTime supports up to 32 people. Someone without an Apple device can join from a browser using a FaceTime link you send.
- Turning off “blind mode”: TalkBack and VoiceOverThe so-called “blind mode” is the screen reader: TalkBack on Android, VoiceOver on iPhone. While on, one tap selects and a double tap opens, so the phone feels unusable. Holding both volume keys for a few seconds on Android, or pressing the side button three times or asking Siri on iPhone, usually turns it off.
- Phone front camera not working: how to fix itIf the front camera will not open or shows black, first close and reopen the camera app, switch to the rear camera and back, and restart the phone. If it fails in only one app, check that app’s camera permission. If it fails everywhere, or started after a drop, the front camera module should be checked.
- Phone screenshot not working: how to fix itIf screenshots do not work, first make sure you use the right shortcut: on a Face ID iPhone press the side and volume up buttons together, and on Android power and volume down. Some banking and video apps block screenshots. If a button is broken, use AssistiveTouch on iPhone or the panel tile on Android.
- Phone software repair: what can be fixed?Getting stuck while starting, restarting over and over, update errors or frequent freezing are usually software problems. First try updating, safe mode and an update in recovery mode; a reset is the last resort and deletes data. As the same signs can come from a battery, storage or board fault, a diagnosis matters.
- Facebook app not opening on your phone: how to fix itIf the Facebook app will not open or closes straight away, first update it and restart the phone. Clearing the app’s cache on Android, or offloading and reinstalling it on iPhone, usually fixes it. If everyone has the problem at the same time, there may be a service outage.
- How to factory reset a phoneA factory reset returns the phone to factory settings and deletes all data. Back up first, then sign out of the account (Apple Account on iPhone, Google account on Android); otherwise the phone asks for the old account’s password after the reset. On iPhone use Settings › General › Transfer or Reset; on Android, Reset.
- Buying and selling used phones in KadıköyWhen buying a used phone in Kadıköy, always check the IMEI registration, account lock, battery health and parts history. If you are selling, back up first and sign out of your accounts. Cep Market, Teknoway and Telefon Sat are the same company; you can get an offer for your phone from Telefon Sat.
- Contacts deleted: how can I get them back?Deleted contacts usually come back from a cloud copy. On iPhone, use “Restore Contacts” under Data Recovery on iCloud.com; on Android, use “Undo changes” in Google Contacts. If the contacts were never synced to a cloud or a backup, getting them back is usually not possible.
- How to use a phone with a broken screenTo use a phone with a broken screen until the repair, first stick a protector or clear tape over it to protect your hands. If touch partly works, voice assistants and accessibility features help. Connect it to a computer and back up; many Android phones also support a mouse through an OTG adapter.
- Sensor problems after a screen replacementIf the screen does not go dark on calls, Auto-Brightness fails or Face ID on an iPhone shows errors after a screen replacement, the sensor parts may not have been moved correctly, a cable may be damaged or the sensor gasket may be missing. Remove the protector first; if it continues, ask the shop to check the sensors.
- Can you recover data from a phone that won’t turn on?For photos and contacts on a phone that will not turn on, check your cloud backup first: iCloud on iPhone, your Google account on Android. Data on today’s phones is encrypted, so it cannot be read by removing the chip; the phone must start with its own board and passcode. So recovery usually means repair.
- Does performance improve after a battery replacement? When a worn battery cannot deliver peak power, an iPhone may slow itself to avoid shutting down; after a battery replacement this is removed and the phone returns to normal speed. In the first days, background tasks and the percentage settling in can affect battery life. If problems continue, the battery is checked.
- “Not registered on network” error and fix“Not registered on network” appears when the phone cannot register with the network, so calls and SMS fail. Toggle airplane mode, restart the phone and reinsert the SIM. Set carrier selection to automatic in mobile network settings. If it continues, try the SIM in another phone and check IMEI registration.
- How to find your phone’s IMEI numberTo find your phone’s IMEI, dial *#06# on the phone screen; the number appears straight away. You can also look in Settings › General › About on iPhone or Settings › About phone on Android; it is printed on the box too. Dual SIM phones have two IMEIs. Check registration status on e-Devlet.
- Does a phone motherboard replacement delete data?If the motherboard is replaced entirely, the data does not move to the new board; photos and contacts only return from a backup (iCloud on iPhone, a Google account on Android, or a computer). So first we check whether the existing board can be repaired; then data is often kept, but this cannot be guaranteed.
- Selling a broken phone: what to know before you sellPhones that will not turn on, had liquid contact or have a faulty part can be sold too; the offer depends on the fault and the device’s overall condition. Before selling, get your data off and sign out of your accounts. Ask for the repair price too and compare; you can get an offer from our own site, Telefon Sat.
