- Samsung microphone problem: clean or replace? If callers cannot hear you on your Samsung or recordings sound muffled, turn off Bluetooth, remove the case and restart the phone. Check app permissions and test the microphone with the diagnostics in Samsung Members. Clean a dirty hole with a soft brush; if it continues, the microphone or lower board is replaced.
- Touch stops working when the phone gets hotIf touch freezes or presses by itself when the phone heats up, unplug it, remove the case and let it cool in a cool place first. A poor charger and gaming while charging can confuse the touch screen. If it works when cool but fails again when hot, the screen connection or battery should be checked.
- Xiaomi back glass replacement: what sets the price? If the back glass of your Xiaomi is cracked, dust and moisture get in and the broken edges can cut your hand. On most models the back cover is glued; it is warmed and removed, and the new one is fitted with fresh adhesive. The price depends on the model, cover material and part option.
- How to charge a new Samsung battery the first timeYou do not need to charge a new Samsung phone or battery for hours, or run it flat first; lithium-ion batteries have no memory effect. Charge it normally with a suitable charger and avoid charging in the heat. After a replacement, the percentage reading may settle in over a few charge cycles.
- iPhone side button pressing itselfIf your iPhone side button presses itself, the screen locks for no reason and Siri or Emergency SOS may open. Remove the case and clean around the button first. To avoid accidental emergency calls, turn off the button call options in Settings › Emergency SOS. If it continues, the button or its flex cable is replaced.
- Computer not recognising a Samsung phone: fixIf your computer does not see your Samsung phone, unlock the phone first and set the USB option in the notification to File transfer. Charge-only cables do not carry data; try a data cable and another USB port. On Windows, install the Samsung USB driver. If the phone does not charge either, the port should be checked.
- How long does a phone repair take? How long a phone repair takes depends on the fault, whether the part is ready, adhesive drying, testing and the day’s workload. So the exact time is given after the diagnosis. You can bring the phone in, send it by free partner courier, or choose the motorbike courier in Istanbul.
- iPhone 11 speaker and headphone settingsOn iPhone 11, speaker and headphone settings are in Settings › Sounds & Haptics, Settings › Music › EQ and Accessibility › Audio & Visual. There you change volume, EQ, mono audio, balance and the loud sound limit. If the settings are right but sound is low or crackly, the speaker should be checked.
- iPhone headphone button not working: fixesIf sound plays through your iPhone headphones but the remote button does nothing, try another pair first; the problem is usually in the headphone cable or remote. Turn off Bluetooth, check the port and adapter, and restart the phone. If every pair fails, the port should be checked.
- iPad battery replacement: what sets the price? If your iPad drains fast, the percentage jumps or it shuts down unexpectedly, the battery may be worn; if the screen is lifting, the battery is swollen and it should not be charged. The battery is glued in; on most models the screen is removed to replace it. The price depends on the model, part and screen condition.
- Phone shuts down in the cold: why and what to doIf your phone shuts down in the cold, the lithium-ion battery cannot deliver enough power at low temperatures; it may turn off even while showing charge. Carry it in an inside pocket and let it warm up by itself somewhere mild. If it also shuts down in mild weather, the battery is worn and should be checked.
- iPhone screen backlight bleed: what causes it?Backlight bleed is when the backlight of an LCD iPhone shows through at the edges or as patches. A faint glow at the edges on a dark screen can be visible; if there are clear patches or bright areas, a knock, a bent frame, a swollen battery or a poor screen may be the cause. Persistent bleed needs a screen replacement.
- Samsung back glass replacement: what sets the cost?If your Samsung back glass is cracked, dust and moisture get in and the broken edges can cut your hand. The glass back is glued; it is warmed and removed, the wireless charging and NFC parts underneath are protected, and the new cover is fitted with fresh adhesive. The cost depends on the model and part option.
- Phone not charging: causes and fixesIf your phone is not charging, try another cable, adapter and socket, clean dust from the port with a dry brush and restart the phone first. If the port is wet, the phone stops charging with a moisture warning; do not plug in until it is dry. If these steps fail, the battery, charging port or board should be checked.
- Can scratches on a phone screen be repaired?A phone screen scratch is usually in the front glass, not the panel. Glass scratches cannot be removed safely with polish or paste; the coating is damaged. A good protector makes a light scratch less visible. Deep scratches or cracks need the glass or screen replaced; if the picture is affected, the panel is damaged.
- Does an iPhone screen replacement void the warranty?A cracked screen is accidental damage and is not covered by Apple’s limited warranty anyway. Damage caused by repairs done outside Apple is not covered either. If the phone is under warranty with a manufacturing fault, go to Apple first. A replaced part may show in Parts and Service History.
- The lighter trick for phone repair: does it work, and why is it dangerous? The “lighter trick” means zapping the screen with the spark from a lighter’s igniter, and it is not a repair method. The spark can damage the screen, touch layer and board parts, and a gas lighter near the battery is a fire risk. For ghost touch or spots on the screen, try the safe checks instead.
- Broken iPhone charging cable: can it be repaired, and why do cables fail?A broken, frayed or crushed iPhone charging cable should be replaced, not repaired; a taped cable carries a risk of short circuit, overheating and fire. Cables usually fail at the bend near the plug. Use a certified cable; if the iPhone still does not charge with a new cable, its port should be checked.
- Front glass, touch layer and LCD: what is the difference?A phone screen has three layers: the front glass on top, the touch layer below it and the display panel (LCD or OLED) at the bottom. On most phones these layers are bonded together. If only the glass is cracked, a panel with new glass may be an option; if touch or picture fails, the screen is replaced.
- What is Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and can it break?Gorilla Glass Victus is Corning’s strengthened glass for the front and back of smartphones; the maker says it improves drop and scratch resistance over earlier generations. It can still break in a fall onto a hard surface or a corner hit. When it breaks, the front glass or screen is replaced.
