- Samsung Galaxy charging port replacement: signs and what sets the priceIf your Samsung Galaxy will not charge, cuts out when the cable moves or fast charging stops, the port may be worn or dirty. On many Galaxy models the charging port sits on a separate sub-board (charging board), so the part replaced and the price vary by model.
- Phone front glass replacement cost: flat versus curved glassThe shape of the glass and how it is bonded to the panel affect the cost of a front glass replacement most. On curved (edge) screens the glass bonds to the panel over a wider area and the work is harder; flat glass is easier. On some models the glass cannot be separated and the whole screen is replaced.
- Liquid or moisture in your phone: steam, fogging and warningsNot only spilled water but also bathroom steam and condensation can get into a phone. A fogged camera, a moisture warning at the charging port or sound cutting in and out are signs of moisture. Leave the phone somewhere dry and airy and do not charge it; if the signs continue, have it checked.
- Turning off the proximity sensor: fix the problem firstThe proximity sensor darkens the screen when the phone nears your ear during a call. Most people who want to turn it off actually have a screen that will not come back on, or never goes dark, during calls. There is no option to turn it off on iPhone; the cause is often a protector, dirt or a case.
- iPhone X screen replacement and Face ID: what to watch forOn the iPhone X, the cable at the top of the screen also carries sensors that help Face ID work. If this cable is not moved carefully from the old screen to the new one during a screen replacement, Face ID may stop working. That is why Face ID is tested before and after the replacement.
- Buying phone spare parts from wholesalers: what to checkWhen buying from a spare parts wholesaler, the three most important points are compatibility, part type and the invoice. Even parts sold under the same model name can differ in quality. Ask whether the part is original, OEM or refurbished, and what the return terms are, before you buy.
- Is it the screen protector or the screen that cracked? Tell in 3 stepsIf you see cracks after a drop, first find out whether the screen protector (tempered glass) or the phone’s own glass broke. If you can feel a step at the edge of the protector, the crack is often in the protector. Remove it carefully and check the glass and picture underneath.
- Phone glass cracked but touch still works: is it fine to wait?If the glass is cracked but touch and the picture work, you can use the phone for a short while; but cracks grow, dust and moisture get in and the damage can reach the panel. At this stage, on most models only the front glass needs replacing. If you wait, the whole screen may need replacing.
- Black lines on my phone screen: the screenshot testIf black lines appear on your phone screen, take a screenshot first: if the lines are not in the image, the problem is the screen itself. Black lines are often rows of dead pixels in the panel after a drop or pressure; they do not go away by themselves and can multiply.
- Crackling from the phone speaker: find the source with 4 testsFinding where the crackle comes from makes the fix easier. First work out whether the sound comes from the bottom speaker or the call earpiece, then listen to the same audio on headphones. If it is clean on headphones, the speaker is at fault; if it crackles there too, the file or software may be the cause.
- iPhone 12 screen not showing: force restart and what comes nextIf your iPhone 12 screen shows nothing, force restart it first: press and release volume up, press and release volume down, then hold the side button until the Apple logo appears. If no logo appears but the phone vibrates or rings, the problem is most likely the screen.
- Kadıköy phone repair clinic: what to know before you comeIn Turkey, a “phone hospital” is what people call a repair centre for phones, tablets and computers. Cep Market has done this work in Söğütlüçeşme, Kadıköy for many years. Backing up and remembering your passcode before you come makes things easier; diagnosis is free.
- Used Samsung screen price: what to check when buying an AMOLEDThe price of a used (pulled) Samsung screen depends on the model, the panel’s condition and whether it comes with a frame. Since most Galaxy models use AMOLED panels, burn-in and colour shifts are the main risks of a used screen. It should be checked with grey and white screens before fitting.
- How to check your phone’s specs: storage, RAM and batteryYou can usually find your phone’s storage, RAM, processor and battery condition under “About” in settings. On iPhone, Settings › General › About is the first place to look; on Android, Settings › About phone. For detailed hardware information, searching the model name is the easiest way.
- Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra motherboard repair: signs and processIf your Mi 11 Ultra will not turn on at all, restarts at the logo or heats up when idle, the problem may be the motherboard (board). Try the charging cable and a forced restart first; if that does not help, diagnosis is free. Whether a board repair is possible, and its risk, are explained before approval.
- Black area in the top-left corner of the iPhone screenA black area in the top-left corner of an iPhone screen is usually damage to that part of the panel after a knock or pressure on the corner. If the black area is not in a screenshot, the screen is at fault. This kind of darkening usually spreads over time and is not fixed by software.
- iPhone swollen battery: how to spot itWhen an iPhone battery swells, the screen lifts from the frame, the back bulges or the phone rocks on a flat surface. If you see any of these signs, do not charge the phone, turn it off and do not press on the screen or back. Over time it presses harder on the screen and housing; replace it as soon as possible.
- iPhone battery swollen: what should I do now?If your iPhone battery has swollen, unplug the phone at once, turn it off if you can and leave it on a cool, non-flammable surface. Do not press on the screen or back and do not open the phone yourself. Then have the battery replaced as soon as possible; the longer it waits, the more it strains the screen and frame.
- SIM card inserted but it says “No Service”: SIM or phone? If the phone says “No Service” with a SIM card inserted, first find out whether the SIM or the phone is at fault: try the SIM in another phone and another SIM in this phone. If the SIM works elsewhere, the cause may be the phone’s SIM tray, antenna or network chip.
- Cracked front glass replacement: when can only the glass be replaced? If only your phone’s glass is cracked and the picture and touch work fine, some models can have just the front glass replaced instead of the whole screen. The price depends on the model and the condition of the panel under the glass; the free diagnosis shows which option fits.
